We just wanted to let you know that new and more powerful versions of NetInfo and NetGong are scheduled for release in the November 2010. These new versions of our award-winning network management tools will represent the next step in functionality and usability, offering new improvements that appeal to both professionals and novices alike. Please read this newsletter for important information on new improvements.
What’s New In NetInfo 7.3
- Improved user interface.
- Improved E-mail tool.
- A few other minor improvements and bug fixes.
If you can’t verify e-mail addresses and you’re using a commercial ISP (Comcast, ATT, Sprint, Verizon), they may be blocking SMTP port 25. This port is standard for sending e-mail. But it’s also standard for sending spam, so ISPs often block it. In order to verify e-mail addresses, you’ll have to change to a different port number. We recommends you use either port 2525 or port 587.
