  • A few other minor improvements and bug fixes.

If you can’t verify e-mail addresses and you’re using a commercial ISP (Comcast, ATT, Sprint, Verizon), they may be blocking SMTP port 25. This port is standard for sending e-mail. But it’s also standard for sending spam, so ISPs often block it. In order to verify e-mail addresses, you’ll have to change to a different port number. We recommends you use either port 2525 or port 587.

Improve your productivity using Wake-on-LAN technology

We are pleased to announce that we have released new versions of NetInfo and NetGong. These new versions of our award-winning network management tools represent the next step in functionality and usability, offering new improvements that appeal to both professionals and novices alike.

What’s New In NetInfo 7

  • Added: Support for Power On functionality using Wake-on-LAN technology.
  • Improved: Windows 7 compatibility (both 32-bit and 64-bit editions).
  • Improved: Connections tool.

  • Added: Support for Power On functionality using Wake-on-LAN technology.
  • Improved: Windows 7 compatibility (both 32-bit and 64-bit editions).
  • Improved: Event logging.
  • Improved: A few minor bug fixes.

Wake-on-LAN is a network technology that allows you to power on a computer remotely. When the remote network adapter hears a “Magic Packet” created for its unique MAC address, the network adapter alerts the computer to power up. If Wake-on-LAN is enabled in the computer’s BIOS settings, then the system will start up just as if the power button has been pressed. When a device is shut down, its network interface card is still receiving power and keeps listening on the network for a magic packet to arrive – enabling Wake-on-LAN to do its magic!

Network Diagnostic Tools

Network Diagnostics with NetInfo

Whether you work for a corporate firm, in a small office or from home as well as if you are a student or you merely use a computer a lot; networking problems are and continue to be the source of many questions and quite frankly a lot of frustration, especially when your computer fails to find the problem. This makes networking sadly still an area of computing that causes a lot of problems for a wide range of people. When aspects start to go wrong on your system it can be a challenge to discover where to even begin looking for an answer. One way in which you may consider going about this is checking your Windows Event Viewer the reason that I say this is because it is here where you would see if there are any entries in your event logs as this may be able to give you some idea as to what the problem may be. In many cases however this doesn’t actually help you, so what can you do to combat these network problems?

What can you do to combat network problems?

Well luckily for you there are actually a number of ways in which you can locate and sort out these problems, one example of this is with the help of NetInfo. There are numerous people who would be able to take advantage of NetInfo such as network administrators, ISP’s and the customers and law enforcement agencies as they would find it helpful when it comes to tracking the ownership and location of various Internet sites. Also OEM software manufacturers would also be interested in this, why? Because it provides them with a reliable toolkit that can then be distributed along with their own software. On top of this any company who requires an easy to use toolkit for every Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 computer and anyone who is a user of the Internet or corporate intranet etc would benefit greatly from the help of this program.

What exactly is NetInfo?

To put it simply this is a program that is based on 15 different state-of-the-art network diagnostic tools, however the difference here is that all of these 15 different tools appear on an easy-to-use interface. It is a program that has been designed and engineered based on experience, so it comes as no surprise that it allows businesses to easily sort out network downtime. They way in which it achieves this is through allowing network administrators, webmasters, and Internet service providers to more accurately isolate faults, simplify processing of diagnostic data and increase internal network security. This is an impressive program whose aim is to eliminate the problems so often associated with networking. It does this by scanning your computer system as a means of finding out if your network-related programs and services are functional. It does this by gathering basic information, which is then used as a means of support to help you combat any problems. With this program it is possible that those frustrating problems so often associated with networking will be a thing of the past, meaning you will be free to get on with the work that really matters so my advice is to give it a go today.
